We're not a chain that landed here. We live here. This is what that means.
Small town, real stakes.
Kingfield has roughly 1,100 year-round residents. When a business opens here, it either becomes part of the fabric or it doesn't belong. We plan to belong.
That means hiring locally first. Buying from Maine farms when we can. Sponsoring the little league team. Showing up to town meetings. And not pretending we're a California import that's just visiting.
Some of it is small — a free meal for a family going through a hard stretch. Some of it is bigger — donating a percentage of every October to the local food pantry. All of it is on purpose.
Four things we commit to.
Local sourcing first
Beef from New England ranches. Produce from Maine farms when in season. Bread from a bakery 30 minutes away.
School partnerships
Free burger coupons for honor roll students at Kingfield Elementary. Catered teacher appreciation lunches twice a year.
Sugarloaf partnerships
Discounted meals for Sugarloaf employees. Sponsor of the local ski patrol. Open late on powder days.
Food pantry support
5% of every October goes to the Kingfield Food Pantry. Free meal vouchers for families in need — no questions asked.
The people we work with.
